BMLA Medical Laser Therapy

Low Level Laser Therapy works on the principle that every cell in the body responds to light, the different cells in the body are activated by different frequencies or wave-lengths of light.

Laser therapy is used to stimulate cells that are working sub-optimally (as in an injured state), it works by promoting the body's own analgesic, vasodilatory and anti inflammatory responses.

Laser Therapy can be used to accelerate the body's healing process and enhance recovery from soft tissue injuries, wounds, accidental or post-surgical trauma and scarring.  Laser therapy is also very effective in neutralising infection, or where wounds have been 'non healing' using conventional medical practice - by strengthening the tissue's natural responses.

The main advantage of laser treatment is that since there is no drug  involvement there are no side effects.  This means it can be administered to drug sensitive individuals or for use during competitions when medicitions may be limited.

The laser can also be used to stimulate acupuncture points and achieve the same results as traditional needle acupuncture.
