Kinesiology & Sports taping

Kinesiology taping was developed in the 1970's by Dr Kenzo Kase to correct abnormalities of muscles and myo-fascial tissues around painful joints.  It has grown in popularity and is now a vital tool in rehabilitation and management of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.  The tape is similar to the the skin epidermis and has the capacity to stretch similar to muscles, it is latex free and normally applied to be left on for 3-5 days.

Sports taping is the use of rigid zinc oxide tape to support joints and give functional immobilisation where required.

With different applications the effects vary from reducing swelling, decreasing pain and helping to correct posture.
